Based on the title Hello Neighbor 2, Hello Guest Episode Two will be a chapter-based stealth puzzle game in which you're thrown into a vast junkyard, hideout to the fugitive and world acclaimed engineer Theodore Masters Peterson, who is holding you captive.
The game's environment will slowly expand as you delve deeper into the story, exploring a family man gone mad's secret playground full of wonders carefully constructed to keep a certain flock of crows at bay.
"Episode Two" comes from Hello Neighbor 2's original 2019 iteration, Hello Guest, a prototype by Eerie Guest Studios from which we borrowed the second chapter's terrific design as a starting point to build our own reimagination.
Release is set for late 2024.
We're a team of three Hello Neighbor fans and long time friends developing their first project; actively on the lookout for amateur artists and programmers eager to get some initial teamwork experience and build a portfolio together!
Note: all positions are solely volunteer-based and non-paid.
If you're capable and willing to cover more than a single role, be our guest.
We exclusively use Blender 4.1 in our modeling and animation workflows. Currently open spots:
- Environment & concept artist: you'll be creating concept art for the game's level.
- 3D artist: you'll be bringing concept art to the third dimension for usage within the game.
- 3D character modelling & rigging: you'll be modelling the characters and rigging them with the Blender Rigify tools.
- 3D animator: you'll be animating characters and environments for usage in gameplay, cutscenes and trailers.
The game is built using Unreal Engine 5.3, and is currently undergoing a full transition to a C++ backend. Open spots at this moment:
- Gameplay designer: you'll be in charge of designing gameplay sections; knowledge of Unreal blueprints is a bonus, as it makes content integration into the project much less of a hassle.
- C++ programmer: you'll be handling the game's backend and maintaining the relative documentation; knowledge of the Markdown language is required as it is our primary method for writing docs.
- Blueprint programmer: you'll be building gameplay by following the designers' directives and consulting backend docs.
